Ibanez Q547 Blue Chameleon 2023 Headless 7-String Electric Guitar

This is an Ibanez Q547 Headless 7-String Electric Guitar in Blue Chameleon Metallic Matte finish. Made in Indonesia in 2023, this guitar consists of a Nyatoh body, a 3-piece Roasted Maple/Bubinga neck, and a 24-fret Roasted Birdseye Maple fingerboard. Other appointments include a Mono-Tune bridge, a Custom String block, and Cosmo Black hardware. The pickups installed are an Ibanez Q58-7 Humbucker in the bridge position, and two Ibanez R1-7 Single Coils in the neck and middle position. These are wired to a master volume, master tone, a 5-way pickup selector, and an ‘alter switch’.

The 3-pc Roasted Maple/Bubinga ‘Wizard C-7’ neck plays exactly as expected from Ibanez’s Wizard range. A sleek and fast design with a rounder C profile than the more modern speed necks allows for a more traditional feel to a notably modern design. The satin finish to the neck feels comfortable under the thumb, allowing easy gliding up and down the register. The Birdseye Maple fingerboard provides a smooth and eye-catching playing surface, with the legendary Jescar Evo Gold frets allowing for unbelievable bends.

The Q547 is equipped with an Ibanez Q58-7 Humbucker in the bridge position, and two Ibanez R1-7 Single Coils in the neck and middle position. The Q58-7 bridge pickup delivers a powerful but balanced rock and metal tone with rich upper-midrange harmonic content. The Ibanez R1-7 single-coil in the middle position sits great with a nice balance of bright trebles and full warm bass, and lends itself well to rhythm tones The low strings are tight and the high strings scream with harmonics, making it a go-to pickup for hard-hitting crunch rhythms and blazing lead tones. The Ibanez R1-7 single-coil neck pickup provides crystal clear clean sounds, with more aggressive mids and increased sustain as you crank the gain, this is perfect for high-speed solos and long sustained melodic interludes.
